Here we are! The time has come to close out this wonderful scouting year all together. So here is the official closing letter, prepared by our special group leaders, Giada and Tommaso.
We look forward to seeing many of you there to share a lovely moment together! Save the date!
The letter
Dear parents,
As we do every year, we will gather together to celebrate the end of this past scouting year’s activities, as we get ready to leave for summer camps, the Routes and the VdB!
The closing of activities is scheduled for Sunday, 14 June 2026, at the Spianessa scout base (San Marcello Piteglio, PT).
Where possible, we recommend parking at the Observatory square about 500 m away (10 min. on foot), due to the limited number of parking spaces available near the base.
Programme
The schedule for the day will be as follows:
- 10:00 — meet at the Spianessa scout base. Due to the fragility of the area, we strongly urge everyone to come up in as few cars as possible, favouring car pooling and organising by Unit.
- 10:30 — opening circle all together, prayer and unit activities
- 12:30 — lunch
- 14:30 — Holy Mass
- 16:00 — closing
The Stella Polare pack will be offering sweets and coffee.
We hope to see many of you there!
Logistical notes
- Due to the fragility of the area, it is strongly recommended to travel in as few cars as possible.
- Each Unit will communicate, close to the date, the meeting point in Prato for an initial gathering, so as to ensure the trip up is made with the fewest possible private cars.
- The Base has no parking. Please therefore leave your car at the Observatory of the Montagna Pistoiese, and from there continue on foot along the path (500 m, 10 minutes on foot).
